We are in a middle of our subtropical winter. The nights are pretty cold with temperatures between 0-10°C. The days are beautiful and mostly sunny with temperatures around 20-25°C. Perfect time for gardening 🙂 The jobs I do in winter at my food forest:

  • planting and sowing winter vegetables
  • pruning trees and bushes which do not flower or fruit at the moment
  • adding natural fertiliser like aged manure, compost and mulch onto the growing beds
  • trimming capsicum, eggplant, chillies and tomatoes
  • building new garden beds
  • and of course harvesting all the time!

Have I forgotten about anything? What are you doing in your garden during winter time? Add the jobs you do in the comments below 🙂
